About the author | Letícia Tórgo

Letícia Tórgo is a writer, playwright, and translator from Brazil. Before arriving in Montréal in 2014, she already had a fine literary career in her home country. She has written the fiction book Uma janela para nove irmãos (A window for nine children) and the theater show and children's book O príncipe dos porquês (The Prince of Why). The show was seen by more than 12,000 spectators. With her experience as a cultural producer, she also wrote the digital books Eu tenho um projeto... (I have a project…) and Confissões de uma Produtora Cultural (Confessions of a Cultural Producer). In Canada, she signed the Portuguese version of the Canadian theater show SIRI, presented in Rio de Janeiro by her production company DA GAVETA/DANS LE TIROIR. She also wrote the play “Somos ici”, with Florence Bobier and « Disquiet » while participating in the mentorship program of the Black Theater Workshop.
